BECCA CHAMPAGNE POP

Well there should be no surprise that I broke my "No Buy July" immediately with this purchase. I mean it's a Becca highlighter created by Jaclyn Hill, I had to! I am so beyond glad I did too. I have worn it every day since i got it. So long Moonstone, goodbye Soft and Gentle, adios Lightscapade. This girl only has eyes for Champagne Pop!

I really don't even have words to describe this highlighter. Well, maybe I have five...It Will Change Your Life!

Okay, so maybe not technically change your life but it will change your makeup life! I have not gone one day without wearing Champagne Pop! Seriously, I could be bumming it around the house with no makeup on, but I will put this on. Just because it makes me feel better when I catch a glimpse of my sloppy self in the mirror.

Did you get your hands on it yet? Curious to know what your thoughts are if you have it.

IPSY JULY 2015

I'm pretty late getting this post up, but we have moved for the second time this year with another pending move happening as soon as possible. So please please forgive me. My August Ipsy bag should be here any day now. You can look forward to a more timely review on that one.

(Tarte Park Avenue Princess Bronzer::Ofra Bliss eyeshadow/highlighter)

I honestly thought this was one of the better bags in recent months. The Tarte bronzer is something everyone raves about and I just haven't ever tried. It's a bit sparkly for me, but I'm definitely going to rock it!

I'm super pissed about getting tweezers. Not because I hate tweezers or anything, but because I just went out and spent money on two pairs of tweezers because I always lose mine. However, with that said. I always lose mine, so I'm sure these will get used at some point.

The Ofra eyeshadow/highlighter surprisingly had really nice pigmentation. I probably won't use it as an eyeshadow as I prefer cool tones for my skin/eyes. I will use it though for a highlighter! It kind of reminds me of the Becca Champagne Pop.

The other two products I haven't used yet. I can't really get excited over a lip balm or a sunscreen. I'm sure I'll try them eventually and I might update this post to reflect my thoughts.

INFLUENSTER DOVE ADVANCED CARE VOXBOX*

I was given the opportunity to review the Dove Advanced Care deodorant thanks to Influenster. This was provided to me at no cost for review.

Obviously, the first thing I noticed about this product was the scent. I mean I think a majority of women out there have a love for coconut! I personally l-o-v-e the scent of coconut, but I hate the taste. So seeing as how you don't eat deodorant, I'm a fan! Okay, so seriously though, I really did like this deodorant. I don't think it is the strongest, best deodorant there is, but it's pretty nice. The scent is awesome! The lasting time I would say is average. It doesn't leave white marks on my clothing (your girl here loves black). So overall, I would give it a strong 7 out of 10 stars.

If you don't sweat a lot, or have a lot of odor...then this will probably work great for you. If you're like me though, you may want to only use this on days when you are lounging around the house or don't have tons to do that day.

REVIEW: BOXED WATER

There is something I want you to know about me. I have an addiction to buying water bottles, cups, and water in strange packaging. Oh you sell overpriced water in a bottle that looks like a flask {HERE}...I'll buy it. You make a cup with a metal straw {HERE}...I'll buy it. Finally, my post today is about what else, but water in a box. A box! {HERE}

Maybe I'm just really gullible, but I had to try it. I think it tastes great! I mean it's water, I don't know how much of a review I can give you about the water itself, but the company is great! If you snap a picture with Boxed Water and hashtag #retree, Boxed Water will plant two trees. You can bet that I will be posting my box to Instagram with the hashtag. Maybe you aren't interested in funky packaged water like I am, but i bet you would like to see two trees get planted just for posting a picture to twitter or instagram. I recommend you giving it a try. If nothing else, you will definitely start some interesting conversations with your friends, co-workers, or even a stranger.

MINTED FIRST IMPRESSIONS

Minted was kind enough to give me a credit after I reviewed some of their products. I was quite happy, because I absolutely fell in love with so many of their things! So I wanted to share with you the three things I ordered.

I wanted something that I could use to jot down blog post ideas on, and while a simple spiral notebook would have sufficed, this pretty thing will make me even more motivated. Right?

I shared in my first review that I've recently been obsessed with geodes and crystals. I have a pair of beautiful book ends that I will share once I find them (oh the joys of moving house multiple times). I love this print and love the frame even more! I can't wait to hang it up (which won't be for a few more months as we will be making our final move in January).

This last thing I ordered was a must as I love Kansas, and want to show a little Kansas pride in my home. Also, I mean the gold foil print is just super trendy! I love the frame on this one too.

Minted shipped my order in three separate boxes, which I thought was kind of strange. However, the packaging was amazing! The two framed pieces were so securely packaged. They came with a certificate of authenticity and a little note from the artist. The shipping was also incredibly fast.

I highly recommend that you check out Minted if you are in the market for art or any type of stationary.

STARTING OFF #NOBUYJULY WITH A HAUL

So as you can see from the title, I'm starting off #NoBuyJuly on the right foot...with a haul! Note: these things were all purchased before July, so that means they don't count against me. However, I have already had one minor slip up because I had to purchase Jaclyn Hill's Becca Champagne Pop Shimmering Skin Perfecter. I mean there was no way i could pass it up. It's limited edition and I had to support her. With that exception, I've been good. We are only four days into July though, so I'm not off to a great start.

I'm going to stop writing about my failures and start writing about my awesome purchases! I'm so excited for the new things I got. I feel like they are unique and wonderful!

This Smith & Cult nail polish has just blown my socks off! The color is gorgeous and unique, a bluish purple. It was opaque in two coats, and it didn't chip at all for three days (that's a long time for me). You can find this polish{HERE}.

I have a confession...80% of the reason I bought this product and this shade is because of the name...Let that sink in. I paid $32 for something because it was named for one of my favorite historical figures. I have a problem. I did hear good things about the product from one of my favorite YouTubers, so that was the other 20% of the reason I bought it. Charlotte Tilbury is a little expensive for me, but there has been a lot of hype over the brand, so I'm happy to have at least one product to test from the brand. I haven't used it yet, but now that I got the blog pictures done, will be wearing it tomorrow! You can buy it {HERE}.

MAC's Dazzleshadows are amazing! Now I'm not usually one to wear glittery eyeshadows, i mean who like the glitter fallout, I couldn't stop myself from buying this one shadow. The one I bought is is 'Say it isn't so'. Again, I haven't used it yet, but I swatched it in store and it's gorgeous! You can get yours {HERE}.

The last beauty product in this haul is the It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ foundation. I read a lot of information about this product. I love that it has great color correction, spf, and anti-aging serum. I have a lot of redness in my face, so I am hoping that this product will do great things and even out my skin. You can find it {HERE}.

Last but not least, I mentioned a little Kate Spade Addiction that I've been suffering from...well here is a small part of it. I wanted an agenda to try to keep myself more organized, and this thing is so adorable. You can find it {HERE}. The mug and paper weight are for my office. I don't drink coffee, so I'm going to be using it as a pencil/pen holder. You can find them {HERE} and {HERE}.

Well I hoped you enjoyed my last haul for a little while! Let me know if you'd like a review on anything that I hauled.

NO BUY JULY

I have never been very successful at holding myself accountable for No Buys, Project Pans, ect. However, I am going to hold myself accountable this month of July. I’ve recently been on a spending spree thanks to my obsession with Kate Spade and a little help from an $800 dollar casino win (which is not a normal occurrence). I will probably be needing some encouraging words (or tweets @OhSoKansas), because this is going to be hard.

My goal in this No Buy July is to one: use the products I have instead of ignoring them for newly purchased items. And two: to start saving money to put down for a house. I’m starting my goal out small by just doing it for one month, but hopefully I can be strong and extend it through the summer.

What that mean for you all (my lovely readers), is that you will be getting reviews! Yay for reviews! So tell me, what are you most interested in seeing reviewed? Makeup? Kate Spade items? Let me know what you’re thinking and I’ll try to get it done!
